mexicanfoodporn: Vampiro  This means Vampire… so I guess all those Twilight fans that actually drink might like this one. There are many variations to this drink, some people put actual tomato juice… but this recipe I use suits my palette the best. ( I was a bartender… if thats any warranty? )  What you need:  -Tall glass -Tequila (I would use a nice blanco or a reposado, nothing very very fancy because you are mixing. Probably a nice Don Julio Blanco or a Tequila Reposado Tradicional de José Cuervo)  -2 limes -salt -Grapefruit Soda (Squirt or Fresca)  -Sangrita (so this is what gives the red hue, and this for me is the most important part, try to get Viuda de Sanchez which is a commercial sangrita (http://tequilasource.com/sangrita/pics/viuda-sanchez_2770_r2.jpg) If you cant find it… well go to Mexico, or go to a hardcore mexican bar in your city and ask if they have it). If that doesnt work, then get some tomato juice and mix in a glass 80% orange juice (no pulp) and 20% tomato juice, that way it will be tangy from the orange juice but it will have a thicker consistency from the tomato juice without you actually having an overpowering tomato taste in your mouth.  -Salsa Tabasco or Salsa Valentina (I would go with the latter)  Directions:  -Pass a lime on the rim of the glass, you pass that on a plate with sea salt or regular salt, if you like more spice, put sweet-chili powder instead.  -Put 3 ice cubes, Squeeze in 1 lime, then put tequila (1 or 2 shots) then fill the glass until it hits the half portion with Viuda de Sanchez or the mix I told you. Then put a little bit of Valentina or Tabasco (Viuda de Sanchez for those who arent familiar has a spicy after taste, so if that is good for you, you are set)  -Fill the rest of the glass with Squirt or Fresca  -mix that well (but carefully with a tall spoon)  -Chug that and feel like a million bucks.  -Repeat
